How it works
Buying plants online shouldn't be complicated. Here is the whole thing, start to finish.
1. Pick your plants
Everything on this site is stock we actually hold, in the pot size listed. Each plant has its mature size, how fast it grows, how far apart to space it, and what it wants in an Adelaide garden — written by someone who grows them here rather than copied off a label.
If you are screening a boundary, every listing gives you three spacings: tight for the fastest cover, standard, and wide if you are after individual trees rather than a wall. Each one tells you how many plants a 10 metre run takes, so you can measure once and know what to order.
2. You see the delivery cost and the day before you pay
Put your postcode in at checkout and your delivery fee appears straight away, along with the delivery day for your area and the cut-off to make it. No quotes, no waiting to hear back, no surprises at the end.
Delivery runs from $20 in the north-east up to $80 for the outer south, and it is free on larger orders. The delivery page sets out every area and price.
3. We bring them to you
We deliver across metropolitan Adelaide, the Hills, the outer south and up through Gawler, and we put the plants where you want them rather than leaving them at the kerb.
You do not need to be home, as long as there is somewhere sensible to leave them and you have told us where — there is a delivery instructions box at checkout for exactly that.
4. Pay however suits you
Card, PayPal, or cash on delivery if you would rather see the plants before you pay for them. Plenty of people prefer that with something living, and we are happy either way.
5. Getting them in the ground
Every plant comes with what it needs — position, soil, water, spacing and pruning — on its listing page. Most of what we sell is chosen because it copes with Adelaide: alkaline soil, hot dry summers, and a gardener who is not going to water it every day.
Plant it at the depth it is sitting in the pot, water it in properly, and mulch it. That is most of the job.
